Neighborhood Block Watch

Belonging to a Neighborhood Block Watch program is a great way to reduce crime in your neighborhood, as well as a great way to get to know your neighbors!  Joining a Neighborhood Watch is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3.

Step 1   Locate your Neighborhood Code on the map

Step 2   Find your Neighborhood Captain

Step 3   Contact your Neighborhood Captain and join your
              neighborhood's block watch

If your neighborhood does not yet have a Neighborhood Captain, please consider becoming the neighborhood captain for your block.

Block Watch Neighborhood Captains:
  •  Welcome new neighbors to the neighborhood.
  • Share information about the block watch.
  • Help neighbors to set up a Neighborhood Phone List to be used in the event of an emergency.
  • Encourage neighbors to connect with Friends of South 12th Street.
To become the Neighborhood Captain for your block, contact Friends of South 12th Street at friendsofsouth12thstreet@gmail.com .  If you are the captain of an existing neighborhood watch group and would like to be a part of Friends of South 12th Street's Neighborhood Watch, email your information to us.
